Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens
Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) is a private non-profit organization formed in 1975 to improve the quality of life for the elderly
through charitable, educational, social services and other appropriate means. The Agency was created pursuant to the Older Americans Act, which is
designated by contract with the Virginia Department for the Aging to develop and administer the Area Plan, as approved, for a comprehensive and
coordinated system of services for older and disabled persons.
Anyone of any age can ride Four County Transit’s public routes. We are a fully coordinated public transit system serving the residents of Buchanan,
Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell counties.
Generations Day Care
Generations operates adult and child day care services at Cedar Bluff, and adult day care services at Haysi. The Cedar Bluff facility provides
services for participants in Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell counties. The Haysi facility provides services for Dickenson, Buchanan, and Russell
